We just returned from a trip to our village in Katapady, Karnataka for the Ganesha festival. The month of "Shravana" is a very busy month with lots of festivals which also means a lot of food preparations specific for the occasion.
Apart from these festivals, September month is a very special month to me in the sense, that my blog “Ladle Brush & Spade” completes one whole year which I feel, calls for some sort of celebration!!
So, first of all, I take this opportunity to thank all my readers, followers and friends from Facebook, Flicker, KAF (Konkani Amchi Food) ,Networked Blogs and the Foodie Blogroll and also my family members for their active participation and feedback without which all this would not have been possible.
My special thanks to my daughter for being patient with me whenever I troubled her for help and guidance regarding the blog which would not have seen the light of the day otherwise !!
Thank You
one and all

Since I did not have sufficient marie biscuits at the time, I also used arrowroot biscuits. This is the only change I made. The end result was good.
